Tell me the rest of the year will be better

How is 2009 going for you? It's not going so great for me and by "not great" I mean it has been pretty much awful.

Let's see what we've been up to in the Kalos Household . . . well, you know that Christina had RSV then double Pneumonia, and don't forget that Nik and I were sick at some point also. Christina has also had a couple of colds.

On top of that, the house has been in shambles because we are trying to get it ready to sell. For some reason identifying the problem areas, somehow made more problems. What went from a little crack in our bathroom ceiling was eventually identified as water damage and only day’s later half of our ceiling is peeled away, hanging down and leaking water. The best part is that the Condo Association said they are not responsible and I have to work it out directly with our neighbors above. These neighbors, by the way, just moved in a few weeks ago. Can you imagine how you would feel if I came up to your unit and said "Hey, I know you just moved in and we haven't even met yet, but you have a leak that has damaged my whole bathroom and now you are personally responsible for fixing it. Thanks!"

Oh and guess what, the best part of 2009 is that I got food poisoning! Oh yeah, it was great. I have never been so sick in my life. I just spent half a week holed up inside my house, barely able to move. But not on Monday, oh no, on Monday I was running back and forth to the bathroom every fifteen minutes. You don't even want to know the details, believe me!

But ok, so we haven't been a healthy household and wanting to move is a whole lot more work than I had hoped, but I do have to admit, we've still been pretty damn lucky. Because, let's face it, we do have a pretty damn cute baby.

  2. I was at a birthday party at a restaurant and ordered the fish. I knew I should have just gotten the chicken! :-(
