This is why you shouldn't lie to your children

CC was talking about dinosaurs the other day. For some reason, Nik decided to tell her a story about how the dinosaurs dug holes and went inside the holes, looking for food. To him, that was a good explanation of why dinosaurs are no longer here. I didn't see his logic and thought he should tell her the truth, but I let it go.

The next day after I picked up the girls at daycare (CC, Gwen and Evie), Christina and Evie got into a heated discussion about dinosaurs. Christina yelled out, "dinosaurs go into the holes and look for food!" which was quickly followed by a screaming match of "No" from Evie and "Yeeees" from Christina, over and over and over again.

I had to break it up and explain that although Daddy Nik did say that about the dinosaurs, he was actually just kidding.

Obviously anything Daddy says is worth its weight in gold and CC is willing to fight to the death over the truth of that subject. He definitely needs to watch is story-telling.
